Our Driver Improvement Program is certified by the DMV to remove 2 points from your license. This can be done once per year. Some insurance companies will also give a discount on their insurance for completing our classroom training. We use curriculum put together by AAA Insurance and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration with a few added bits of knowledge from our driving and instructing experience as well.Topics include:
•Getting Ready to Drive
•How and What to Adjust in the Vehicle
•Safety Technology and How it Saves Lives
•How to use ABS properly
•How to Share the Road Safely
•Communicating Effectively on the Road
•Right-of-Way Rules and Laws
•Impaired Driving: Distraction, Drowsiness, Emotion, and Substances
•Adverse Driving Conditions
Class is held twice a month on Friday or Saturday and goes from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. There are a few breaks and a lunch break around noon. Students are welcome to bring lunch and stay in the classroom or leave the premises during the break.
DMV, Court Ordered, and volunteer classroom students do not need to pre-register for the classroom. We are limited on capacity due to fire code, so it is first come first served for classroom attendance.
At the end of class each attendee will receive a certificate of completion, and any DMV or Court Ordered students will have their information sent to the DMV. Please let us know why you are taking the class at the beginning of the day, as we cannot retroactively change the reason for participation. Our upcoming class dates are:Mar 2 SAT 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
